Hi everyone,

I’m looking for fresh ideas for a 10 minute virtual activity to kickoff my Talent Department’s upcoming all hands call (audience size is 50). I’m looking for something that is engaging and fun and will raise energy levels before the remaining 50 minutes.

I can do poll questions/mentimeter, but have leveraged those a lot in the past.

Thanks for uour input!

Hi Matthew!

With virtual meetings I like to do an activity that gets them up and moving (gets the blood flowing before the session).  You could try doing a "Find something that..." activity where you give them a few minutes to look around and come back (play music as a timer or have a buzzer go off when times up so they have an audible indicator they need to return).  Then when they return have them share (breakouts for sharing is probably best since you have 50 people).

Here are a few examples of what you could have them find.  Find something that...

  • Is red
  • Is tied to a fond memory
  • Brings you joy

This is a great question! My all time favorite activity that I've ever done in a team meeting is virtual bingo. One of my previous teams used to play often, and it was always a favorite!

Hi, Matt! I've become mildly obsessed with Chad Littlefield of weand.me! This video with three "no prep" ice breakers has a couple of good ones for that time/size.

He has another where you create a collaborative story that I'm looking for a place to use.
