Hi everyone! I'm curious if anyone has a project plan template that's specifically to include the ADDIE model (and ideally review cycles) for your instructional design projects. I've come across a lot of generic examples (some from previous roles, others freely available online) but I'm wondering if there are any "ideal" or well-loved versions tailored for Instructional Designers.

If you have one you're able to share, I would appreciate it greatly!

Hey Elisabeth. Here is one I created using a template off the internet, our AI tools, and links to documents stored on our system. I obviously had to remove those links to share the template with you. I liked this format because I can follow along with my reporting group on where we are supposed to be on our design and I could flex the dates if they were lifting workshops or had time off scheduled. I hope you find it beneficial as well.

Hi Elisabeth,

I created one in Excel for the ISD and project management parts that works for me. You are welcome to use it. I wouldn't call it the ideal template, but it has worked for me and my colleagues. For our newer projects, I've transitioned to using Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams and integrating Planner into it. For us, it has been a central point of communication and task management.

@Ocinda Pollitt, thank you so much! This is incredibly helpful! I love the second column with the instructions/thought prompts. It's fantastic!

@Kevin Lundeen wow!!! Also amazing! I love the versioning on the first tab as we are working to establish naming conventions. The complete layout and information is so thoughtful, I think a new person could join and have a great start! The multiple tabs really help you flow through without being overwhelmed.
