How many of you are dealing with Job Hugging?  How are you handling it?  Have you seen higher levels of burnout and lower engagement or performance?

Would love to hear how your company is strategically addressing this current day business problem.

Hi Debbie!  I had to look up Job Hugging.  :) We aren't strategically managing this, but my org has seen so much change in leadership over the last couple of years that any dips in engagement likely would have been a result of the vast amounts of change. That said, I can see why this could be a problem. Every day on LinkedIn another professional is begging for help and using the last of their savings after being laid off/reduced/let go over the last couple of years. Staying in your current role at least provides a paycheck.

I don't have insight to our Employee Relations issues to identify if this is happening across the organization. I can say for our team, we have many people with over 10 years of tenure, and I think that there has been a lift with engagement under the new leadership despite the changes.

I do look forward to hearing other thoughts though, and am glad you asked the question.
